A defense of science in a world where everything is transformed into ideology. Public confidence in science reached probably an all time low science is being challenged by organized groups everywhere and decisions that are supposed to be taken according to the scientific criteria, are, instead, being asked to follow political or moral criteria. There is confusion between ethics and science, between ethical problems involved in science, and problems that are in all respects scientific.
